ROAM is a pop-punk band from Eastbourn (England) born in 2012.
Among the components we have Alex Costello (Lead Vocals), Alex Adam (Vocals / Guitar), Sam Veness (Guitar), Matt Roskilly (Bass) and Miles Gill (Drums). Between 2012, 2013 and 2015 the band produced three EPs (No Common Ground, Head Down and Viewpoint). In 2016, following the publication of ‘Backbone’, the band supported Sum41 on tour.
In 2017, the band released their latest album ‘Great Heights & Nosedives‘ which I had the opportunity to photograph on December 2nd in Milan.
It was not the first time I saw them live, but definitely the first time I photographed them. On stage they are loaded and full of energy, entertain the fans to the maximum without ever exaggerating or leaving ‘dead moments’. During the concert in Milan they involved the audience on stage, something facilitated by the location, with a very small stage, an almost non-existent PIT and plenty of room for a mosh.
One thing that I really appreciated, was the decision to have the band themselves at the merchandising at the end of the show, so as to allow all photos and signatures, almost as if it were a festival.
Personally, they are under evaluated, they are really strong on stage and in the studio (albums). Really good, my compliments.

ROAM è una band pop – punk di Eastbourn (Inghilterra) nata nel 2012.
Tra i componenti abbiamo Alex Costello (Lead Vocals), Alex Adam (Vocals/Guitar), Sam Veness (Guitar), Matt Roskilly (Bass) e Miles Gill (Drums). Tra il 2012, il 2013 e il 2015 la band ha prodotto tre EP (No Common Ground, Head Down e Viewpoint). Nel 2016, inseguito alla pubblicazione di ‘Backbone’, la band ha supporttato in tour i Sum41.
Nel 2017, la band ha pubbicato il suo ultimo album ‘Great Heights & Nosedives‘ che ho avuto la possibilità di fotografare lo scorso 2 dicembre a Milano.
Non era la prima volta che li vedevo live, ma decisamente la prima volta che li fotografavo. Sul palco sono carichi, intrattengono il pubblico al massimo senza mai esagerare o lasciare ‘momenti morti’. Durante il concerto a Milano coinvolgevano il pubblico sul palco, cosa facilitata dalla location, con un palco molto piccolo, un PIT quasi inesistente e tanto spazio per un mosh con i fiocchi.
Una cosa che ho molto apprezzato, è stata la decisione di avere le band stesse al merchandising a fine show, cosi da permetere a tutti foto e firme, quasi come se fosse stato un festival.
Personalmente, sono sotto valutati, sono davvero forti sul palco e in studio (albums). Davvero bravi, i miei complimenti.
