THE KOOKS is a British indie-rock band born in Brighton in 2005. The name was inspired by the David Bowie’s song ‘Kooks‘that was in the ‘Hunky Dory‘ album.
It’s a four piece band: Luke Pritchard (voice), Hugh Harris (guitar), Peter Denton (bass) and Alexis Nunez (drums).
Their music influences are based on the early 60s britpop but not to forget a little bit of blues, reggae and funky tones.
They luckily decided to add a date in Milan in 2017 and I was lucky enough to photograph them at the Fabrique Club, they’ve been a band from my youth. Personally the concert was okay, they are a great band to see live but not with big stages and in big a venue like the Fabrique. They are more of a small stage, cozy kind of concert like an MTV unplugged set.
Other than that, I think the concert was great, they even played ‘Naive‘, my favorite song.
